Hi, I'm Steve. I'm a well-rounded artist, fully capable of doing 3D modeling and animations with Maya, or traditional illustrations with a pencil. Below is a small sampling of my work over the years. The making of the cover for... American Bison #3

I originally went to school for sequential art in order to learn how to make drawings to tell stories. While getting my BFA in Computer Graphics at the Savannah College of Art & Design, I picked up some acrylic paints and brushes. I wasn't trained in painting, so please don't judge me too harshly. Especially, if you find my style unorthodox. I have a duffle bag full of Liquitex Value Series BASIC acrylic paint and a random assortment of brushes. A few Winsor & Newtons to round out the bunch. I put them to use on this cover, because I just love painting. When you look up and realize you've spent hours doing something you enjoy but it's only felt like 10 minutes. At the end of course, you hopefully have something worthwhile to share with others. I hope you enjoy seeing my process with this cover.
